ReadyView - How to Set-up the NVR - Community

The WD ReadyView system has a simple 4-step set-up process. The mobile app supports up to 5 NVR systems. Please follow the steps below:

 

To setup the initial NVR

  1. Connect the short Ethernet cable to your router, 4 cameras to the longer Ethernet cables, and connect those longer Ethernet cables to the the PoE Ethernet ports on the back of the NVR. It is recommended to use the ports in order, starting with 1 (e.g. 1 through 4).
  2. Connect the power adapter to the NVR and a power source.
  3. Download the mobile app to your mobile device
  4. Scan the QR code for the NVR, located on the bottom of the device and on the Quick Install Guide (QIG)

To add additional NVRs

  • Repeat steps 1 and 2 above.
  • Tap the options icon in the mobile app (three horizontal lines in the upper left corner)
  • Tap NVR MANAGER
  • Tap START SETUP
  • Scan the QR code for the NVR, located on the bottom of the device and on the Quick Install Guide (QIG)
