This article will show you how to change where Google Chrome opens upon starting up the browser. This can be set to a specific page, a default New Tab page or to have Chrome re-open to the previous session’s pages.
Here is how to change Chrome's home page/opening page:
1. With Google Chrome open, click the three dots found at the top right of the Chrome window.
2. On the Settings window that opens, on the left, click On startup
3) There are three ways to set up where Chrome opens. The default and first way is to “Open to the New Tab page.” The second way is to “Continue where you left off” which would open the last page Chrome was on when it was closed last. The third way is to manually set an opening page and there are two options.
Option 1) Add a new page – click this choice and a box for “Site URL” will appear. Type in the URL of the website and click Add to set it as the opening page.
Option 2) Use current pages – this will set Chrome to open up to all tabs currently open.
Once completed, any pages set up to open will appear under “Open a specific page or set of pages.”
