How much does the custom build service cost?
Our custom build service starts at $249.99. This includes:
- Installation of your selected components
- Air or AIO liquid cooler installation
- Windows installation
- Complimentary ESET NOD32 Antivirus for 1 Year
- A 90-day labor warranty
You can also extend your coverage with a 2-year or 3-year Protection plan, available for purchase within 30 days of your original order.
We also offer premium water-cooled build options:
- Soft tube water cooling: $399.99
- Hard tube water cooling: $899.99

Can I pay for my parts and the build service ahead of time?
Yes! You can order your parts and pre-pay for the build service through our website, with a few requirements:
- All parts must be in stock and purchased from Micro Center
- The parts must be available at the same location you plan to visit
- The order must be placed using our [PC Builder Tool]
- This tool includes a compatibility checker to ensure all selected parts work together
- Once you've selected your components, simply check the "Same Day Pro Assembly" option, add to your cart, and complete your purchase
Once your order is placed, it will be sent to the store for processing.
Can you build my PC using parts I purchased elsewhere?
Absolutely! We're happy to build a custom PC using new parts you’ve purchased elsewhere, as long as all components are compatible.
Please note:
- You’ll need to bring your parts into the store to start the build process
- Online ordering is not available for builds using outside parts
- The build will be scheduled in-store, and our techs will get started as soon as possible once you check in
- If the parts have already been opened or previously used, the service will be treated as a Rebuild Service.
We recommend visiting your nearest location to get started with this service.
What if I want to use parts from an old PC?
We’re happy to work with parts from your previous PC build—whether they’re gently used or no longer installed. Please note that working with non-new components comes with added complexity and risk, so our service fees are adjusted accordingly.

Can my build be completed the same day?
We do our best to offer same-day build service, but a few factors may impact availability:
- Orders must be placed at least 4 hours before store closing
- High build volume may delay same-day service
In-store customers can confirm availability when checking in. For online orders, a store representative may reach out to discuss timelines based on the technician’s current workload.

- Appointments are scheduled based on tech availability, and builds typically take 2–3 hours, depending on complexity
- You'll get real-time instruction and support throughout your build
